Gary Hill Cobb, aged 67, died suddenly at his home in Cullman on July 31, 2021. He was  born in Cullman on May 29, 1954. He had been beset by a number of chronic physical  problems over the years. A graduate of the University of North Alabama, Gary had  graduate degrees from UAB and UAH.  He was preceded in death by his parents: Buell E. Cobb, Sr., and Kathryn McDaniel Cobb. He leaves  behind three beloved brothers: Buell E. Cobb, Jr. (Mary), William Joseph Cobb (Sue Bell) and James  Michael Cobb (Jan) and by their children and grandchildren.  He will be remembered by many friends and family members for his sharp mind and wit, for his great  heart and compassion for others, for a consistently positive attitude in the face of adversity and for his  enduring faith.  Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 3, at Moss Service Funeral Home (1901 2nd  Ave. NW, Cullman) with visitation preceding from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. The family requests that  all attendees wear masks.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to South Cullman Church of Christ.

Ethelene H. Farmer, age 96, of Cullman, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. Ethelene was  born February 4, 1925 in Cullman, Alabama to Leonard Doyle Hesterley Sr. and Tommie Pearson  Hesterley. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Rev. J.T. Farmer; daughter: Charlotte  Farmer Cummings; granddaughter: Pandy Farmer Allred;  daughter-in-law: Deborah Farmer and great-grandchild: Cesar Garcia.  Mrs. Farmer was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She was a member of Fairview First Baptist  Church. She also wrote a book in 2006 titled “My Precious Memories.”  Survivors are daughter: Rebecca Farmer (Bobby) Murphy; sons: John (Pam) Farmer, James Farmer,  son-in-law: Robin Cummings; grandchildren: Steve (Debbie) Cummings, Jason Cummings, Cassandra (Josh)  Phillips, Sarah (Skylar) King, Rebekah Farmer, Leah Farmer, Lucas Farmer, John-Thomas Farmer and Nathan Farmer; great-grandchildren: Cody (Lisa) Cummings, Carson (Katherine) Cummings, C.J. Cummings, Norah  Cummings, Serena Garcia, Christian Garcia, Brittany Farmer and Kimberly Allred and great-great-grandchildren: Kopis Cummings, Kal Cummings, Willow Rae Clark and Elizabeth Grace Thurman.  A visitation for Ethelene will be held Sunday, August 1, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home (1901 2nd Avenue, N.W., Cullman, Alabama 35055).  A celebration of life funeral service will be Sunday, August 1, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. An interment will occur  Sunday, August 1, 2021 at Simcoe Methodist Cemetery (4545 Alabama Highway 69 North, Cullman, AL 35058).   The family request in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gideon International Cullman Camp at  P.O. Box 583 Cullman, Alabama 35056.  Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.mossservicefh.com for the Farmer  family.  Moss Service Funeral Home directing.
