Barbara passed away Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Cullman Regional Medical Center.  She was born January 13, 1946 to Walter Marvin and Ossie Maude Pruett Tucker.

Barbara spent the last 23 years as a real estate broker here in Cullman.  She not only sold the property to develop the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament, she developed a relationship with Mother Angelica and became Catholic.  She spent a lot of her spare time at the shrine and developed a Catholic subdivision.  She traveled multiple times on mission trips to Russia and Korea in her earlier years.  Her three granddaughters were her life.  She took them, as well as her daughters, on a beach trip every year.  She enjoyed visiting her family, Sandra Walker Payne and Vickie Lynn in Gulf Shores as much as possible.

After developing Alzheimer’s, she spent the last two years at Legacy Woods in Hayden.  The caregivers there made her last years on earth as enjoyable as possible.  The family would like to thank CRMC team and hospice for the outstanding care.  Special thanks to Dr. Bill Smith, Legacy Woods and Phillip Cleveland in Hayden and a special thank you to Lanson Harbison.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Dalford Tucker and sister: Marie Keel.

Survivors include her daughters: April Talley (Kevin) Elam and Dawn (Don) Hunkeapillar; sister: Sandra (Gary) Payne; grandchildren: Paige (Dillon) Spicer, Bailey and Emiley Beckman, Madison and Trey Hunkeapillar, Kendall and Kyle Elam and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
