CULLMAN, Ala. – The Alabama Republican Party announced Monday that 45th U.S. President Donald Trump will visit Cullman on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021, for a “Save America” rally at the York farm, 1872 County Road 469, venue for Rock the South, which will take place the week before.

A statement issued on Monday by Alabama GOP Chairman John Wahl said:

“President Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America, will hold a major rally in Cullman, Alabama on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. CDT.

“This ‘Save America’ rally will be held in conjunction with the Alabama Republican Party Summer Meeting and marks President Trump’s further support of the MAGA agenda and accomplishments of President Trump’s Administration.”

State Sen. Garlan Gudger told The Tribune, “I have been working alongside John Wahl from the Republican state party to help organize local officials and I am thankful that, after a lot of hard work, the former President, Donald Trump, has decided to come to Cullman, Alabama! Every agency and entity that we have contacted locally has stepped up to work together as a team, to make this event ready for national exposure that will be coming Aug. 21.”

Cullman Mayor Woody Jacobs talked about hosting former Pres. Trump:

“This was first brought to us a little over a week ago. We knew we would be working on a tight deadline if the City of Cullman wanted to have the opportunity for the former President to come here to address the patriotic citizens of not only Cullman, but those who will come from all over to witness history in our town. This was going to require diligent teamwork and legal research while on a short leash. With that said, the conversations were always very productive with all those involved. Anytime we have the potential to host a historical event in our small town, we need to all pull the rope in the same direction so that for generations to come, history will be forever etched into the City of Cullman. To do the opposite would be an injustice to our people. I know that the City of Cullman is very excited for this rare opportunity, and we will be willing to assist in any way that we are able and in any way that the Secret Service requires. This is new to all of us, and we just want to make sure it is safe, family-friendly and memorable.

“The good news is that the private entities that needed to work out a deal regarding the event being held on privately owned property within the City were able to come to terms with impeccable timing.  At this time, we still are not certain as to what the City’s direct role may be; however, whatever that role may be, we will make sure our role falls within the law so that this will be a great and safe event, showcasing our patriotism, respect and hospitality.”
