Surrounded by loving family and friends, Bob Blevins passed away

in Cullman, Alabama on December 17, 1937. He was a young 86 year
old. He is survived by his son Robert Blevins and wife Cindy, daughter
Candice Blevins, grandsons Travis Blevins, Taylor Blevins, Alexander
Shoaff, Aidan Shoaff and nephew Xavier Flores. Bob was preceded in
death by his loving wife Arabella Blevins and his ten brothers and sisters.
Bob was a very proud Marine and while stationed in Padre Island, Texas
he met the love of his life, Arabella Tamez. They were married for 62
years. Bob was very artistic and athletic. He was an excellent golfer and
an enthusiastic follower of all sports, especially the University of
Alabama athletics and Crimson Tide football. Most of all, he loved his

Professionally, Bob was a barber for over 60 years and practiced his trade
in Birmingham, Alabama. Blevins Barber Shop in downtown
Birmingham was the town hall for gossip, sports and politics. He used to
say “I’m driving everyday to be with my friends”. It was not work in his
mind. Bob will be missed by all and especially his family.
The family would sincerely like to thank the caregivers that shared their
kindness and assistance to both Bob and Arabella over the years. Heart
felt thanks to Sheila S., Shelia G., Robyn, Barbara, Christy, Nicole,
