April Marie Buxton, age 50, of Cullman, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.  There will be a memorial service in her honor, on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 4 p.m. at Seventh Street Church.  Visitation will be held at the church prior to the service, from 3-4 p.m. There will be a private graveside service the following week.   Cullman Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.  April was born April 2, 1974, to Larry Buxton and Shelia Marlane Jennings Baker, in Decatur, ​Alabama.    She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Buxton; grandparents, Ed and Louise Buxton and Charles and Bessie Jennings.  She is survived by her mother, Shelia Jennings Baker; her stepfather, Rick Baker; her brother, Michael Baker; her twin sister, Joy Ellis; and nephew, Ethan Ellis.  April’s family would like to thank the wonderful and caring nurses and staff with Cullman Regional Hospice, who were there for them during this difficult time.  If anyone would like to donate to Cullman Regional Hospice in April’s memory, the family would be very grateful and honored.  Friends may sign the online guestbook at www.cullmanfuneralhome.com
