CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism (CPRST) Summer Women’s Softball League kicks off Monday nights in June at Heritage Park.

CPRST Athletic Director Ashley Morton said they are excited to bring women’s softball back to Heritage Park this summer and create an opportunity for teams to compete, connect and enjoy the game. The last time the league was in play was in 2023.

“We are offering the Summer Women’s League Softball program again because it  is something we are really excited for because it’s been missed in our community,” Morton said. “Sports have always been such an important part of Cullman, and we want to continue creating opportunities for people to get involved, stay active and feel connected. Seeing this league return is exciting because it’s another step toward growing local sports and bringing back programs that people truly care about.”

Games will take place on Mondays at 6:30 p.m. at Heritage Park. They will have a regular season game format on Monday nights followed by a single-elimination tournament on Tuesday nights. “Don’t forget your Classic W softballs,” said CPRST.

The cost is $450/team with a four-team minimum. Teams will play six weeks.

Registration is open now and will close on June 11, and games will start the following Monday.
