CULLMAN, Ala. – This Saturday members of the Alabama Sons of Liberty Riders, Christian Motorcycle Association and Cullman County Wranglers will host the 2023 Cullman County Prayer and Pledge Ride. Riders visit all county schools, starting in the morning. Participants will visit each school’s flagpole, where they will recite the Pledge of Allegiance and pray.

One of the organizers, Cindy Alverson, spoke passionately about the ride, saying, “We want everyone involved in education, be it students, teachers, bus drivers or any staff members, to know that we are thinking of them and praying for them,” she said.

According to Alverson the event’s primary objective is to spread positivity, unity and support for the educational community, emphasizing the importance of prayer in fostering a nurturing environment for learning.

“We look forward to it every year. It’s our constitutional right to stop at the flagpole, recite the Pledge and say a prayer,” she said. “It should be everybody’s right.”

The ride will kick off at Jack’s on Main Avenue SW at 7:40 a.m. From there, riders will visit the following schools:
