BAILEYTON, Ala. – The Town of Baileyton and the Baileyton Volunteer Fire Department are teaming up this Halloween for a drive-thru trick-or-treating event. Starting at 5 p.m. Halloween night, Oct. 31, Town officials and firefighters will be passing out candy at the fire station next door to the community center.

The event will be a drive-thru event only. Parents can bring their kids, and each child will receive a bag of candy. All COVID protocols will be strictly followed. The event will continue until the candy runs out.

According to Town Clerk Pat Gilbert, Town officials have all pitched in and purchased candy for approximately 500 children. The fire department has also purchased candy for several hundred.

“We hope to have enough for everybody,” she said.
