NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The 2019 National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) season came to an end with the NASP Championships at the Music City Center in Nashville on Saturday and several local squads were there to compete. Cullman Middle School, East Elementary and West Point High School had archers in the field and Vinemont Elementary, Middle and High School were all in attendance as well.

It was a solid showing for each local team, but individually, no one had a better day than VMS’ Alexis Sartin. Sartin finished as the Middle School Girls’ Champion in this year’s NASP Championship after posting a 295 with 25 tens, edging out East Muskingum’s Brooklyn Wheeler by just one point. Sartin received a plaque, a new target and a Golden Championship Bow after her performance in Nashville.
