CULLMAN – The holiday season is ramping up, and that means more weekend events around town. Find full event listings at www.CullmanTribune.com/Calendar. Below are a few annual events to enjoy.

 

Friday and Saturday, Nov. 17-18: Vinemont Band Booster Craft Show

This annual craft show will take place at the Cullman Civic Center on Friday, Nov. 17 and Saturday, Nov. 18 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Says the show’s Facebook page: “Vinemont Band Boosters have sponsored this family oriented craft show for 20+ years. We feel privileged to unite wonderfully talented individuals under one roof to share their ideas and display their many talents to the general public. We take pride in our hospitality and aim to please not only the shoppers and observers but our vendors as well.

Admission is free.

The boosters will be serving lunch, including hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, nachos and more.

There will also be entertainment and door prizes.

 

Friday and Saturday, Nov. 17-18: Good Ole Gamefest '17

This annual gamer event is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 17 from 2 p.m.-midnight and Saturday, Nov. 18 from noon-10 p.m. at the VFW, located at 112 Veterans Drive in Cullman.

Good Ole Gamefest is “Cullman's own small annual gaming convention, celebrating gaming's rich history with open play consoles, tournaments and more!”

Admission: Single-Day Adult: $10; Single-Day Child: $5; Two-Day Adult: $15; Two-Day Child: $7

Saturday, Nov. 18: 3rd Annual Meek High School Holiday Marketplace and Vendor Fair

The Meek High School PTO is proud to present the third Annual Meek Holiday Marketplace and Vendor Fair on Saturday, Nov. 18 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the Meek High School gymnasium.

There will be more than 30 vendors featuring food and gift items.

Santa Claus will be present from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. for pictures.

Refreshments and baked goods will also be available.

All proceeds go to the Meek High School PTO.

Saturday, Nov. 18: Cullman First United Methodist Church’s Second Annual GIFTS: Missions Market

Just in time for the holidays! Come shop Cullman First UMC’s 2nd Annual GIFTS: Missions Market.

Proceeds from the sale benefit multiple church missions including: Loads of Love, Jamaica Missions and Knapsacks for Kids.

The sale will be from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. A spaghetti with meat sauce lunch will be served from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

The market location is on the corner of Highway 278 and Third Avenue Southeast, inside Hearin Hall of the church.
