CULLMAN –  Late last week, Cullman City Police Department narcotics investigators, along with the Cullman Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET), the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) and the United States Postal Service conducted a controlled delivery.

A package containing more than 2 pounds of marijuana was delivered to a residence on the northwest side of town.  Daniel Jackson Jones, 23, of Decatur took possession of the marijuana.

Jones was subsequently arrested and charged with trafficking in cannabis and transported to the Cullman County Detention Center and is currently being held on a $1 million bond.

This arrest was possible due to the well-orchestrated effort between multiple law enforcement agencies.

The Cullman City Police Department asks that anyone with information regarding illegal drug activity contact investigators at 256-734-1434 or 256-734-2868.
