GOOD HOPE – A regular Good Hope City Council meeting was held on Monday night, and after routine housekeeping items were addressed, only two items of business were discussed.

Councilman Maxie Jones reported that bids for the Bavar Creek bridge construction project are scheduled to begin in July, with construction starting in September. He noted that Good Hope School busses will need an alternate route once the construction begins.

Councilwoman Susan Eller reported that despite the recent heavy rainfall, water quality reports showed that water was within permit limitations. She stated that the new control panel for the waste water plant’s influent pump station is operational and all treatment pumps are operating.

With no new resolutions, ordinances, orders or other business, the meeting was adjourned.

The Good Hope City Council meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at Good Hope City Hall. The public is welcome to attend.
