Toby (Cullman County Animal Shelter)

CULLMAN, Ala. – Toby is the kind of dog who may take a moment to trust, but once he does, he gives his whole heart. He’s The Cullman Tribune Pet of the Week.

Toby is a hound mix who is approximately 2 years old. He is a low-energy, people-loving fellow who may be a little shy at first. Once Toby puts his faith in you, though, all of those walls come down.

This remarkable guy is slowly gaining weight, and the good news is his appetite is great. Hounds are known for following their noses, but Toby would much rather follow his person.

Because Toby is already neutered, his adoption fee has been reduced to $35. That reduced fee is not a reflection of his worth. In our opinion, Toby is priceless.

Toby is the perfect example of a therapy, companion and all-around swell-guy dog.

Toby has stolen the hearts of shelter workers and volunteers, and he just might steal yours, too.

Those interested in meeting Toby can visit the Cullman County Animal Shelter at 935 Convent Road NE. It’s open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Contact the Cullman County Animal Shelter at 256-734-5448 or cullmananimalshelter@co.cullman.al.us.

If Toby has already been adopted, be sure to check out his friends at the shelter. Plenty of wonderful pets are still waiting for their forever homes.
