SARDIS CITY, Ala. — Fairview raced out to a 20-point lead in the opening quarter Friday night and cruised past Sardis 41-2 in Class 4A, Region 8 action.
The Aggies added 7 points during the second quarter to build a 27-0 advantage by halftime.
Fairview continued to control the scoreboard after the break, extending its lead to 34-0 during the third quarter.
Sardis recorded its only 2 points of the night later in the third, sending the game into the fourth with the Aggies ahead 34-2.
Fairview added the game’s final 7 points during the fourth quarter to complete the 39-point region victory.
The Aggies improved to 3-2 overall and 2-2 in Region 8 play. The win also snapped a two-game losing streak following region losses to Scottsboro and Guntersville.
Fairview will be off Friday, Sept. 25. The Aggies return to action Thursday, Oct. 2, when they host Brewer at 7 p.m. in another Region 8 matchup.
