GLENCOE, Ala. — Glencoe jumped out to a 35-point lead during the opening quarter Friday night and defeated Hanceville 50-0 in Class 3A, Region 6 action.
The Yellow Jackets added 8 points during the second quarter to carry a 43-0 advantage into the halftime break.
Neither team scored during the third quarter, but Glencoe added the game’s final 7 points in the fourth to close out the region win.
Hanceville fell to 0-5 overall and 0-3 in Region 6 play. It marked the Bulldogs’ second consecutive shutout loss and their third straight game allowing at least 50 points.
The Bulldogs will be off Friday, Sept. 25. Hanceville returns home Thursday, Oct. 2, to face Susan Moore at 7 p.m. in another Region 6 matchup.
