Cullman’s Abby Sosa to compete in Miss Alabama competition June 3-6

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama will be strongly represented as 17 students compete in a field of 45 for the title of Miss Alabama. The program takes place June 3-6 at Samford University in Birmingham.  Among the contestants is Cullman’s Abby Sosa.

The winner will represent Alabama at the Miss America pageant later this year.

Contestants are evaluated in the categories of interview, talent, evening gown, health and fitness and on-stage question. They also each have their own community service initiative, a cause they championed while reigning in their respective titles.

Many of the students listed have participated or placed in the Miss University of Alabama competition during their time at UA.
