2 killed in I-65 crash in Cullman County

CULLMAN, Ala. – Two people were killed in a single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 9:40 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, on Interstate 65 in Cullman County.

Alabama State Troopers said Kristen B. Rogers, 35, of Florence, was fatally injured when the 2012 Cadillac SRX she was driving left the roadway, struck a cable barrier and overturned. Danny W. Robinson, 41, of Lexington, who was a passenger in the Cadillac, was also fatally injured.

Troopers said the victims were not using seat belts at the time of crash; they were ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Interstate 65 near Alabama Highway 69, approximately 2 miles southeast of Dodge City, in Cullman County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
