Funeral services for Kenneth Delmer Roden, 78, of Hanceville will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday November 26th at Mountain Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow the service at Garden City Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Mountain Grove Baptist Church.
Mr. Roden was born July 8, 1947, in Morgan County, Alabama to the late Reuben & Mary Hazel. He passed away November 24, 2025, in Cullman County, Alabama.
Kenneth began his lifelong career as a truck driver at the remarkable age of 15. The open road became not just his profession, but a place where he found purpose and pride. Through countless miles and long days, he provided for his family with steady hands and an unshakeable commitment.
Family was at the center of Kenneth’s world. He loved them deeply and without reservation, and nothing brought him greater joy than the time he spent with his granddaughter, who held a special place in his heart. His face lit up at the mention of her name, and the bond they shared was one of his life’s greatest blessings.
Kenneth will be remembered for his loyalty, his quiet strength, and the love he showed so fully to those fortunate enough to know him. His presence will be deeply missed but forever cherished.
Mr. Roden is survived by his daughter, Stacey Long (Mark); granddaughter, Abigail Long; siblings, Jerry Hazel, Nathan Hazel, Martha Hazel, Ricky Hazel; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Roden was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Roden; parents, Reuben & Mary Hazel; siblings, Jimmy Hazel, Raymond Hazel.
