ATHENS, Ala. – Fairview hit the road for a matchup at East Limestone Friday night, and it was another good night for the Aggies. Fairview built a 33-3 lead in the first half and held off the Indians in the second half to secure a 40-10 win and remain undefeated.

Fairview got things started with a long, methodical opening drive that was capped off by a 2-yard touchdown run from Rex Chandler, giving the Aggies a 7-0 lead midway through the first quarter. Fairview added to its lead on its next possession, using some big runs from Jake Harper to keep the chains moving and Harper punched one into the end zone to finish the drive with a touchdown, extending the lead to 14-0 late in the first quarter.

Early in the second quarter, Aggies quarterback Kolt Redding hit Jace Stevens on a short pass and Stevens took it 65 yards to the house for another Fairview touchdown, making it a 21-0 game. The Aggies continued to pull away in the second quarter with a pair of touchdown passes from Redding to Conner Scott and Fairview went into the locker room with a commanding, 33-3 lead East Limestone at halftime.

The Indians put together a scoring drive early in the third quarter to trim the lead to 33-10 but later in the period, Redding found Alex Cruz for a 25-yard touchdown to put the Aggies back up 40-10 going into the fourth quarter. Neither team was able to find the end zone in the final frame and Fairview returned home with a 40-10 win over East Limestone.

The Aggies (9-0) will finish the regular season against Good Hope (8-1) next week.
