John Andrew Warwick, 82, of Hanceville, Alabama passed away peacefully at home on September 24, 2026, surrounded by family, friends and the Holy Mass.
Andy was born on December 15, 1943, in Honesdale, Pennsylvania to Dr. Edmund V. Warwick and Esther Fuller Warwick. Andy’s lineage goes back to the Mayflower on his mother’s side. His daughter, Tracey Lynn Warwick preceded him in death. He is survived by his devoted wife Judy Warwick of 61 years, their daughters Tina Warwick Fitzgerald and Catherine Warwick; his grandchildren Connor John-Warwick Fitzgerald and Caroline Maryelizabeth Fitzgerald as well as his two son-in-laws Daniel “Fitz” Fitzgerald and Stan Mucinic.
He received his BS in Economics and Statistics at the University of Scranton and worked in the financial field. He retired to his favorite job at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Courses. Andy loved the Dallas Cowboys and the game of golf. He was a kind and loving husband and enjoyed going to the beach each year with his wife. He was an amazing father and was a very proud Grandpa. Andy was also a great father-in-law and role model. He was a very devout Catholic and was dedicated to two hours of Adoration a week and the Miraculous Medal Novena.
A visitation and rosary will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Cullman, Alabama on Thursday, October 1st from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. The funeral Mass will he held at the same church on Friday, October 2nd with the Divine Mercy Chaplet beginning at 10:30 a.m., Holy Mass at 11 a.m., followed by the graveside service.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Eubanks, Dr. Moore, and Dr. Patrick Tomeny who never left his care. We also want to express our most sincere thanks to his caregivers Lisa, Lynette, Manuel, and Luke for their overwhelming love, attention, dedication and prayers as well as all of our friends who came to visit and/or prayed. We cannot thank you enough and are humbled and blessed by all.
