Funeral service for Clifford Clenton Gibbs, 98, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, October 23rd, 2025, at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Welti Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery, Bro. Cameron Smith officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2 p.m.

Mr. Gibbs passed away Tuesday, October 21st, 2025, at his residence. He was born January 20, 1927, to Henry Bertis & Lillie Eunice Black Gibbs. He was a family man and loved his family. His favorite saying was, “Take care of your family, and love them”. He loved to read the Bible and read it three times a day. He was the best leader and mentor to so many people. He would help anyone with a need and was there to help.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of over 66 years, Mary Gibbs; son, Clenton Gibbs; three grandchildren, Tamelia Lemons, Anthony Smith, Crystal Smith; great-grandchild, Jacob Watwood; great-great grandchild, Bentley Watwood; nine brothers and one sister.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Kilpatrick, Deborah Goggins; brother, Kenneth Gibbs; sisters, Reba Vaughn, Ezell Gibbs; seven grandchildren, Jimmy (Audy) Kilpatrick, Jerry (LaMoyne) Kilpatrick, Tammy (Paul) Carpenter, Shelia (Derick) Smith, Brandi Watwood, Jonathan Watwood, Zach Goggins; nineteen great-grandchildren, Brandon (Lauren) Smith, Wesley Smith, Emily (Ryan) McDonald, Robin (Emily) Carpenter, Casey (Teena) Carpenter, Cloie Watwood, Jackson Golden, Katie Watwood, Chris Golden, Leah (Riley) Gillilan, Mary Watwood, Abby Richter, Katie (Jacob) Whittle, Cameron (Christin) Smith, Kelsee Smith, Justin (Holly) Kilpatrick, Jeremy (Shannon) Kilpatrick, Jeff (Amy) Kilpatrick, Brian Kilpatrick; 27 great great grandchildren; one great great great grandchild; and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Watwood, Brandon Smith, Jackson Golden, Derick Smith, Paul Carpenter, Riley Gillilan; honorary pallbearers will be Leah Gillilan, Zach Goggins, Wesley Smith.
