CULLMAN, Ala. – A local woman has been arrested and charged with murder in the Oct. 15, 2025, shooting death of Jessy Hooper, 29, in the Simcoe area.
Cullman County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Emily Nicole Battles, 30, of Cullman, on Oct. 20.
The arrest follows an intensive investigation, according to the CCSO. The incident was initially reported as an isolated event.
The investigation is ongoing, and no further details are being released at this time. Additional updates will be provided as they become available.
