CULLMAN, Ala. – Stone Bridge Farms was packed with friends, family, former teammates and coaches, old rivals and more Saturday night to celebrate the induction of the Cullman County Sports Hall of Fame’s 25th annual class. CCSHOF Chairman Marty Hardman kicked things off by recognizing and honoring former chairman Jackie Satterfield (2010-2024) for his years of service to the Board. Next up were this year’s Hall of Fame scholarship recipients and then special guest speaker and Good Hope alum Jeff Speegle inducted each of this year’s new hall of fame members.

  • Pitched for Gulfport, Montgomery, Biloxi, Oakland, Sacramento, and Little Rock in the Minor Leagues Pitched for the Detroit Tigers 1n 1911.
  • 7-5 Major League record with 4.59 ERA and 45 Strikeouts. Also had 256 batting avg
  • Teammate of Ty Cobb
  • Lifetime Batting Avg .254 with 269 hits
  • Lifetime Pitching record 133-98 including 238 appearances, 59 starts.
