Tiberius “Tibby” Lowe, 15, passed away May 25th, 2026.
Tiberius was a lover of many things, namely computers, orchestra, literature, and video games. Anywhere he went, it was assumed he would have hacked his way into the nearby security or operating systems in a matter of minutes just to have fun and see if he could. He was a well travelled young man and ensured his hotel stays were extra accommodating by sneaking into the security systems to bypass any blockers and allow himself internet or streaming services. While briefly visiting a children’s hospital, it took him 30 minutes to redirect the room’s television to allow himself to watch South Park; 25 minutes were spent talking with the nurse while the remaining 5 minutes were spent getting past their security systems for his own harmless enjoyment. Tiberius was an incredibly intelligent and accomplished boy and showcased it by rebuilding the code of The Binding of Isaac so he could play it seamlessly on his Chromebook. Tibby was an avid gamer and would talk for hours about some of his favorites: Left 4 Dead, Grand Theft Auto, Call of Duty, Resident Evil, and would frequently play Minecraft, Broforce, Rocket League, and Terraria with his younger brother, Hector. As soon as Tibby could hold a controller, he was all-in and rapidly found a passion for both solo and multi-player games to the point he would politely request different Resident Evil games every birthday and Christmas.
Tiberius was not only an accomplished programmer and gamer but held a deep passion for orchestral music as a violinist. A prime example of his resourcefulness was upon one of his violin strings snapping, instead of stopping to fix it in the moment he immediately transposed the sheet music to accommodate the remaining three strings. He was a member of the Alabama All-State Orchestra and performed at First Fridays in Florence. He was a member of the Scholars Bowl Team for his school and represented the School at a Robotics competition in Montgomery.
He attended The Royal School in Windsor, England and was chosen to sing in Windsor Castle after being chosen for the best pitch. While there, he formally met The Queen and when asked about his experience, he expressed that he “met an old lady with a large hat like grandma.”, perfectly exhibiting how he looked at everyone he met for their authentic selves, not their titles or placement in life.
Tiberius made a lasting impact on every person he met, filling their lives with a sense of pure, whimsical joy in how he navigated the world. He was incredibly well travelled and loved everyone he came in contact with fully and deeply, to the point he earned the nickname “Tibby Two Pints”, as the way he saw the world was joyous and without inhibition. Tibby had accumulated nicknames from various people around the world, “Mr. T” being a notorious one in Denmark due to others’ troubles pronouncing his full name. In his short life, Tibby touched countless people’s souls from all over the world during his travels to England, Scotland, Ireland, Italy, Denmark, Spain and Malta, and friends all over the World as far afield as Australia and New Zealand. He was known for his impish grin spreading ear to ear and the overwhelming joy he brought into a room and his unique outlook on life.
Recently, he had been overwhelmingly excited to earn his drivers permit. When returning from driving practice he would talk extensively about his progress and experiences behind the wheel.
Tibby was also an avid reader and huge fan of comics and novels such as Invincible, Death Note, Catcher in the Rye, Dante’s Inferno, and George Orwell’s 1984. He loved going to Renaissance Faires with his family and would ask every year, without fail, for a longsword. Along with attending these events with his family, he enjoyed hiking and camping with his family as often as he could. Tibby took every opportunity he could to sleep in a hammock under the stars with no concern for the evening’s forecast. He would playfully compete with his family when it came to fishing and come out victorious, much to their chagrin. He was a quick study and could easily and naturally learn new information and skills in a shockingly small amount of time.
Tiberius loved 90’s alternative and rock bands such as Nirvana, Green Day, Rage Against the Machine, and countless others.
