GADSDEN, Ala. – Wallace State extended its winning streak to seven matches Wednesday, earning a hard-fought 3-2 road victory over Gadsden State.
The five-set victory moved the Lions to 8-2 overall and 2-0 in conference play. Wallace State also remained unbeaten in four road matches this season.
The program’s official schedule has not posted the set scores or complete statistics from Wednesday’s match.
Through the nine matches covered by the latest complete conference statistical file, Wallace State is hitting .276 while averaging 10.94 kills, 2.69 aces and 2.33 blocks per set.
Zoe Jones leads the Lions with 109 kills. Darcy Alford has recorded 160 assists, Emersyn White has collected 71 digs and Aydison Dillworth has 30 total blocks.
Wallace State will host Lawson State at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8.
