Funeral Service for Linda Faye Thompson, age 82 of Cullman, will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with Earl Harper officiating; burial at Holly Pond Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.

Mrs. Thompson passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, June 22, 2025. She was born, January 28, 1943, to Harvey and Margie Burks. She married Carter Braxton Thompson, the love of her life, on September 15, 1965. She was a faithful daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who put her family first and served them selflessly. Linda loved the Lord and was a member at Pleasant View Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Carter Braxton Thompson.
Survivors include her son, Phillip (Sheri) Thompson; daughter, Rhonda (Jason) Shabel; grandchildren, Trey Shabel, Savannah (Logan) Davenport, Colby Shabel, Kaylee Shabel, Dani Thompson, Gabi Thompson and great grandchild, Scarlett Davenport.
