GOOD HOPE, Ala. – The Sizzlin’ Seniors of Good Hope are back!! After a year of senior centers restricting in person meetings due to COVID-19 restrictions, Governor Kay Ivey’s latest order allows senior centers to resume limited activities.

The Sizzlin’ Seniors are scheduled to meet Tuesday, March 23 at 10 am at the city’s park pavilion, though there is a backup plan to meet in the basement of Good Hope City Hall if the weather requires.

Sizzlin’ Seniors director Greg Brown has been eager to get the Good Hope seniors back. Throughout the year, Brown, also a Good Hope city council member, has expressed his desires to resume activities as soon as it was safe to do so. He was all smiles at the most recent council meeting when he was finally able to announce plans.

The city will be grilling hamburgers and hotdogs for lunch. Seniors are asked to bring desserts. Fun games and activities are planned, including center favorite, bean bag baseball.
