Both home gardeners and small-scale commercial growers can benefit from growing Alabama-emergent Asian vegetables. Growing emergent crops, such as bitter melon and yard-long bean, enhances the novelty of a garden, the biodiversity of growing operations and the nutritional quality of meals.
