CULLMAN, Ala. – Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) deputies and investigators arrested David Anthony Watson Jr., 23, of West Point Friday, charging him with electronic solicitation of a child and sexual extortion.

According to the CCSO, the arrest came after a brief investigation and consultation with the Cullman County District Attorney’s Office.

“I would like to thank all the deputies, investigators and also the Child Advocacy Center (Brooks’ Place) for all they did to put this predator behind bars,” said Sheriff Matt Gentry.

Due to this case involving a minor child, the CCSO cannot release further details.

Watson is currently being held in the Cullman County Detention Center on a $60,000 property bond.
