FAIRVIEW, Ala. – The Fairview Lions Club hosted its annual Labor Day celebration Monday at Randall Shedd Community Park. The yearly favorite event includes a car show, parade and more.
Lions Club President William Criscoe said this year’s celebration was one of the biggest events they’ve had.
“We were so excited with the turnout and support from the community,” he said. “We normally have 40 or so car registrations and we had 65-70 today, which was amazing. The parade was great, too. All around, this has been a great event.”
The parade included local first responders, firefighters, the Fairview marching band, local business owners, pageant winners, Fairview athletes, youth league athletes, community members and more.
Hundreds lined up to enjoy the parade, visit the car show, purchase from local eateries and participate in the Labor Day event with dozens of local vendors.
Criscoe said the Lions Club will host another parade and event for Christmas the second Saturday of December.
