St. Bernard, Cullman compete in quad matches at Cullman Bowling Center

CULLMAN – Cullman and St. Bernard took on Hartselle and Priceville in quad matches at the Cullman Bowling Center on Monday afternoon.

Girls
A short-handed Cullman girls' team fell to Hartselle, 630-259, in the first game of the day. Skylar Moore bowled a 158 while Alexis Brown finished with a 101. They lost all three of the Bakers games by finals of 160-47, 95-43 and 143-47. 

St. Bernard defeated Priceville in its first match, 513-465. Gracie Lloyd led the way with a 122 game. Aiden Adcock finished with a 109. Bridget Gallegos had a 102. Maithy Nguyen finished with a 100, and Abby Curtis ended up with an 80.

In the three Bakers games, the Lady Saints lost two of three as they fell 120-91 in the first game, 149-92 in the second, and took the final game, 84-79. Their overall record is now 8-1. 

"They didn't bowl as well as I thought they would, but they still did good," St. Bernard coach Tyler Ayers said. "If we can be more consistent, we will be good, but I'm still proud of them."

Boys
A short-handed Cullman team fell to Hartselle, 622-474, in its first match of the day.  The Bearcats lost all three of the Bakers games by finals of 110-106, 109-61 and 137-106. 

St. Bernard lost to Hayden, 781-517, in match number one. Luke Marti led the Saints with a 117 game as he was one of three players to bowl more than 100. Alex Shoaff finished with a 111, and Jordan McCormick ended up with a 108. Blake Burman finished with a 98, and Leo Hsieh had an 83. The Saints went 0-3 in the Bakers Games by finals of 123-68, 208-104 and 130-91. 

The boys' and girls' teams for Cullman and St. Bernard will travel to Madison to take on East Limestone in a tri-match tomorrow.
