CULLMAN, Ala. – The third annual Bartlett Baseball Camp will be held on June 18 at the Cold Springs High School baseball field. The one-day camp, led by former University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball player and Cold Springs High alumnus Brody Bartlett, will run from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and is open to players ages 5 and older.

Participants will receive instruction in hitting, fielding, throwing, base running and overall game fundamentals, making the camp suitable for both beginners and more experienced athletes.

In addition to the youth instruction sessions, players ages 14 and older will have the opportunity to participate in a special showcase session designed to provide exposure to college scouts and recruiters. The advanced portion of the camp will allow older athletes to compete in a showcase-style setting while displaying their skills at a higher level.

Going on year three, Bartlett said one of his favorite parts of running this camp has become watching young players grow and develop their skills while learning to see baseball from a new angle.

“My favorite part about running the camp is teaching athletes a brand-new perspective on baseball,” Bartlett said. “This is a game of failure, so the earlier kids can learn that, the better they will become.”

He added, “Watching players learn new things and using what they have learned to become a better ball player is one of the best feelings as a coach or instructor. My goal every camp is to teach every single kid one thing, and if they learn one new thing about the game in a day, I see that as a win.”

Sign-ups will begin at the gate at 8:15 a.m. on the day of the camp. Pre-registration is also available online through the official camp registration form at https://tinyurl.com/3a8h6baw or by contacting Bartlett directly. Bartlett asks participants to arrive 30 to 45 minutes early to complete the registration process. The camp fee is $100 per player.

The camp will also provide lunch from noon-12:30 p.m., along with additional water throughout the day.
