SIMCOE, Ala. – A Cullman woman was killed in a multivehicle wreck that happened Thursday afternoon at approximately 1 p.m. in the Simcoe community. Cullman County Coroner Jeremy Kilpatrick identified the deceased as Malinda E. Chandler, 73.
According to Alabama State Troopers, the crash occurred when the 2015 Hyundai Sonata driven by Chandler, was struck by a 2012 Ford Focus driven by Brandi N. McFadden, 39, of Cullman. After the initial impact, the Hyundai was then struck by a 2003 Ford F-250 driven by Austin D. Johnson, 23, of Baileyton.Â
Troopers said Chandler was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Alabama Highway 69 and County Road 747.
