Funeral services for Marie Melton, 96, of Hanceville will be 12 p.m. Wednesday June 3rd at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Hanceville Funeral Home.
Mrs. Melton was born May 17, 1930, in Lawrence County, Alabama to the late Marion & Bessie Mickle. She passed away May 31, 2026, in Jefferson County, Alabama.
Mrs. Melton is survived by her children, Sherry Davis, Mickey Melton (Loretta); grandchildren, Michael Dynes (Karla), Lisa Janick (John), Lori Melton; sister, Mildred Phillips; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Mrs. Melton was preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt Melton; parents, Marion & Bessie Mickle; and her brothers, Devon Mickle, Buddy Mickle, and Roy Mickle.
