Ruby Dean Corley, age 87, A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Ruby’s life was centered on the people she loved most. Her family was her greatest joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 4, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Cullman Funeral Home, with Pastor Nathan Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Flint Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m.
Ruby was a faithful member as long as she was able, of Vinemont Christian Church, where she found strength in her faith and fellowship with her church family. She enjoyed spending time thrifting and had a special talent for finding treasures that brought joy to herself and others.
Those who knew Ruby will remember her kind heart, caring spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her legacy of love, faith, and generosity will continue to live on in the lives of all who were blessed to know her.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Edward D. Millwood and Eva Tennyson Millwood; daughter, Sonja ‘Sham’ Corley; husband, Edward Corley; brothers, Ruel and Raymond Millwood; sister, Sharon Corley.
Survivors include her sons, Ricky (Denise) Corley, Tammy (Charlene) Corley; brother, Kenny Millwood; grandchildren, Jennifer Phelps, Shontae (Jason) Walton, Ricky (Amanda) Corley, Amber Norris, Casey McCutcheon, Brittney & Bethany Corley; great-grandchildren, Tyler (Allison) Morgan, Preston, Matt & Sam Phelps, Emory & Aubrey Norris, Miracle & Treasure Corley, Sadie Manning, Tucker Parris, Harper & Braden Walton; great-great grandchildren, Katie Phelps, Thomas Corley, Ollie Jane Morgan; family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jason Walton, Justin Corley, Tyler Morgan, Ricky Corley, Stephen Millwood, Blake Millwood
Ruby will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
