CULLMAN, Ala. – The annual Clothed in Cullman fundraiser, which supports Curt’s Closet, will take place on April 30 at The Venue at Cotton Creek.

The popular “Heads or Tails” game is now a staple of the fundraiser. This interactive game gives guests a chance to win over $700 in local gift cards and brings a fun, lively energy to the night.

“Heads or Tails is the part of the night where you can feel the whole room loosen up,” said Curt’s Closet Founder Ashley Wilson. “It’s just pure fun, and honestly, I love watching grown adults get so serious about calling heads or tails. It cracks me up every year.”

The event will also have expanded silent and live auctions, offering a variety of items and experiences donated by community members and local businesses. Auction categories include experience packages like weekend getaways and family outings, home and garden items, activities for children and families, restaurant and boutique packages and special high-value items for the live auction.

This year, organizers have added new features to make the event more memorable and to encourage even more community involvement.

“We wanted to add something fresh,” Wilson said. “People come ready to have a good time, and we want to give them moments they’ll talk about long after the night is over.”

Catering By Teresa will provide dinner, and guests can also look forward to door prizes and other surprises throughout the evening.

Money raised from the event will go directly to Curt’s Closet programs, including the Back to School initiative, which gives children backpacks, shoes, clothing and undergarments before the school year starts.

“Back to School is one of those seasons where you can literally see confidence forming right in front of you,” Wilson said. “A new pair of shoes can make a child feel like they belong. That matters more than people realize.”

The organization also runs Curt’s Christmas, a program that helps over 500 children and nearly 200 families each year through partnerships with Cullman City Schools and Cullman County Schools. The fundraiser is key to keeping these programs going and helping children throughout the community.

Doors for Clothed in Cullman open at 5:30 p.m., and the silent auction starts then. Dinner will be served at 6:30, followed by the live auction at 7.
