CULLMAN, Ala. – Listerhill Credit Union on Thursday, Nov. 6, broke ground on what it says will be a new, state-of-the-art branch in Cullman, “designed to enhance accessibility through advanced technology and personalized service together under one roof.”
Officials and team members from Listerhill Credit Union, members of the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce and Cullman City Council, as well as local business leaders and other guests attended the groundbreaking ceremony at the site of Listerhill’s new branch. The new 2,950-square-foot financial center will be adjacent to Cullman’s Industrial Park, just about a mile south of the current Listerhill branch in Cullman, which is being replaced by the new construction. The new facility is scheduled to open around September 2026.
Listerhill President & CEO Brad Green opened the event, saying, “Today’s groundbreaking reflects our promise to evolve with our members’ needs. We’re not just building a new branch, we’re building a better experience rooted in trust, innovation and community.”
Green continued, “Through the years, our delivery and accessibility for financial services have advanced and evolved to better serve our members’ needs in Cullman and the Cullman County area. This site will now become home to a beautiful new facility with expanded capacity and a balanced blend of the best in personal consultative service and the most recent technology that will enable 24-hour accessibility. We’re proud to contribute to the growth of this area by creating a space that reflects the quality and care we bring to every member interaction.”
“This new facility deepens our commitment to the people and businesses who make this community thrive,” said Alanna Sullivan, chief operations strategist with Listerhill. “We’re creating a modem, member-focused experience that is designed for connection, convenience and lasting impact in Cullman.”
Sullivan said that the branch will reflect Listerhill’s enhanced retail model, which will include an open floor plan, employees able to assist members with any of their financial needs and expanded self-service options.
“Listerhill’ s investment in this pew facility highlights their continued commitment to our community,” said Cullman Chamber President Joey Orr. “We’re proud to see them expanding access to financial services in ways that strengthen our local economy.”
Cullman Mayor Woody Jacobs added, “The City of Cullman is grateful for Listerhill Credit Union’s continued investment in our community. Their commitment to growth, service and supporting local families play an important role in strengthening Cullman’s future. We appreciate their partnership and look forward to the positive impact this new development will bring.”
“Listerhill Credit Union represents the very best of what it means to be a community partner,” said Stephanie Childers, executive director of United Way of Cullman County. “Their ongoing generosity, volunteerism and steadfast support of United Way of Cullman County demonstrate a genuine commitment to improving lives and strengthening the place we all call home. We’re honored to celebrate this exciting new chapter with them and grateful for the lasting impact they continue to make throughout our community.”
