VINEMONT, Ala. – The Vinemont High School baseball program will host its second annual Diamond Club Cornhole Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 8, beginning at 11 a.m. at 1995 County Road 1518 in Cullman. Registration opens at 10 a.m., and the cost to enter is $40 per team.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own bags, though extras will be available for anyone who needs them. The team will also operate a concession-style food truck, with all food sales benefiting Vinemont Baseball.
With a successful first year leading the tournament, Head Coach Hunter Cornelius said the decision to bring it back was an easy one. “We wanted to host the tournament again because of the amount of interest it drew last year,” Cornelius said. “A lot of people told us they had a great time and that other cornhole groups around Cullman would come if we were to do it again. Events like this are a fun way to bring the community together while raising money for our baseball program.”
Cornelius noted that all proceeds from the event will go directly toward equipment costs for the team.
“People can expect a great time with good competition and a friendly atmosphere,” he shared. “It’s a chance to hang out, play cornhole and enjoy some good food. We’ll also have multiple TVs set up for anyone wanting to keep up with football throughout the morning. It’s a fun event for the whole community and a great way to support our players.”
