A celebration of life service for Mr. Rickman will be 5 p.m. Thursday, August 21st at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. The family will welcome friends for visitation on Thursday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Dezmond was a happy go lucky young man, had a smile as big as Texas, he loved his country music, hunting, fishing, cowboy hat and boots, was a true country boy. He Loved Hard, Worked Hard, Played Hard. Dezmond was known for his hardworking spirit and his ability to make people smile, even in the most difficult times. He dedicated himself to supporting his loved ones and was admired by friends, family and colleagues for his strength, loyalty and determination. His accomplishments in life were not measured by titles or awards, but by the love and respect he earned from all who knew him. Those who knew Dezmond best remember him as a man with an adventurous spirit and a big heart. He had a gift of making others laugh, often telling stories and doing the silly funny things that made him unforgettable. His personality was magnetic, and he carried a light that drew people close to him. Above all, Dezmond was a devoted father. His children were his pride and joy.
We have lost a piece of our hearts that is now forever gone, but our Love for him will never go away.

Survivors include his mother, Michelle Flanigan; son, Kingston Rickman; Baby Girl Rickman on the way; siblings, Destiny Rickman, Devon (Samantha) Hodges, Niko (Aaliah) Kent, Livia Rome Cooper; grandparents, Tom (Susan) Rickman, Mary Rickman, Sylvia and Albert Turner; great grandmother, Mary Flanigan; aunts and uncles, Tumeka (Jason) Henry, Susan Ostberg, Charles Flanigan, Lamar Flanigan; nieces and nephews, Amauri Rickman, Saint Rickman, Jalaya Powel, Amir Baker; and a host of cousins, extended family and friends who loved him very much.
