Larry Shane Brown, age 50, of Holly Pond, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at UAB Hospital.
Shane was born on May 29, 1975, to Larry and Jane Brown. He was a devoted husband to his wife Jennifer, a loving father to his son Jack, and a cherished son to his parents. Shane will be remembered for his generous heart, unwavering dedication to his loved ones, and his ability to bring laughter to those around him.
Family was everything to Shane. He loved spending time with his loved ones at get-togethers and celebrations. His bond with his niece Taylor and her daughters, Sawyer and Addi, was especially close—they adored him and shared countless joyful moments together.
A true man of the land, Shane had a deep love for farm life. Despite facing significant health challenges for the past 27 years, he never allowed his struggles to slow him down. He worked tirelessly, pushed himself to the limit, and remained a strong provider for his family. His determination and work ethic were an inspiration to all who knew him.
During his final three months at UAB Hospital, Shane was a model of strength and grace. He followed every instruction without complaint and built meaningful connections with his doctors and nurses, winning them over with his humor and spirit.
Shane’s presence will be deeply missed, but his love, laughter, and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Brown; son, Jack Carter Brown; mother, Jane Brown; father, Larry Brown; Sister, Ashleigh Brown; niece, Taylor Atchley; great nieces: Sawyer, Addi and Ella; special friends: Joe Garrett and Chris Tipton; and a host of other family members and friends.
A celebration of life visitation for Shane will be held Monday, July 28, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Moss-Service Funeral Home. A celebration of life funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. Burial will be at Eidson Chapel Cemetery, Holly Pond, AL.
