Rogenia Kent, a woman full of spirit and warmth, passed away on July 18, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, creativity, and joyful song. Her vibrant personality and deep-rooted faith touched all who knew her. Rogenia had a passion for the arts—especially painting serene nature scenes that reflected the beauty she saw in the world. Her love for gospel music was a lifelong joy that began in her earliest years, standing atop a piano bench in her childhood church, lifting her voice in praise.

She is survived by her loving children, Richard (Heather) Sinyard, Amy (Randy) Cates, and Leslie (Tony) Pouliot; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her sisters, Melissa (Steve) Shapleigh and Bonnie Graves; and a host of nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, William “Bill” Kent; her parents, Orval and Ruby Tubbs; and her siblings, Horace Tubbs, Sherman Tubbs, and Geraldine Tubbs.

Rogenia’s legacy lives on through the many lives she touched with her art, her voice, and most of all, her love.

Hanceville Funeral Home is honored to serve the Kent Family.
