Patricia Joan Skinner Kerr, age 76, of Cullman, Alabama passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025. She was born in Texas on December 7, 1948.
Patricia is preceded in death by her father James Thomas Skinner. She is survived by her mother Bonnie Skinner, sister Sandy Skinner, son Andrew Thomas (Candi) Kerr, daughter Kate (Vince) Pison, and grandchildren Eli Kerr and Abby Pison.
A trained psychologist with a bachelor’s degree from MTSU, she was a woman of remarkable intelligence, strength, and wit. For many years she led tours as a docent at the historic Sam Davis Home, over time working her way up to serve as the Director of Education. She was creative in so many ways, demonstrated in part through her love for knitting, cross-stitching, and all things crafting. Her creativity was also shone through her musical talent, as she was a skilled pianist. She loved all of her dogs but most notably adored her pit bulls Buster, Baby Girl, and Ruby whom she raised. Her vibrant personality and resilience will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
