CULLMAN, Ala. — The Cullman City Schools Foundation (CCSF) has launched its “Paws for the Holidays” year-end giving campaign, inviting the Cullman community to join a season of generosity that directly supports teachers and students throughout Cullman City Schools. The campaign runs from Giving Tuesday, Dec. 2, through Dec. 31, with a goal of raising $3,000 for the Foundation’s Classroom Grant Program.

Since 2024, CCSF has awarded nearly $45,000 in classroom grants, providing resources that enhance instruction and elevate student engagement across all five district schools. Grant-funded initiatives this year include innovative STEM and robotics programming, health and wellness initiatives, visual and performing arts resources, expanded library and literacy materials, and instructional tools that benefit students in grades Pre-K through 12.

Beyond grantmaking, the Foundation hosts several programs and events that enrich the school community. Every year, CCSF presents the Distinguished Alumni and Service Awards Luncheon, honoring outstanding educators and alumni whose achievements exemplify excellence in education and leadership. The Foundation also sponsors an annual Summer Music Camp each June, in partnership with Heirlooms Fine and Performing Arts and the McCluskey School of Music, offering students hands-on creative experiences and supporting arts education throughout the district.

The 2025 campaign carries additional significance as the Foundation prepares to celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2026. Since its founding in 1996, the Cullman City Schools Foundation has partnered with families, community leaders, alumni, and local businesses to strengthen academic opportunities and provide sustainable support for students and teachers.

“The holiday season reminds us of the powerful impact community generosity can have on our classrooms,” said Tyler Hooper, foundation specialist for the Cullman City Schools Foundation. “Every contribution to ‘Paws for the Holidays’ invests directly in the success of our students and empowers educators with the tools they need to deliver exceptional quality instruction.”

The mission of the Cullman City Schools Foundation is to inspire and empower every student and educator in Cullman City Schools by building strong community partnerships, securing sustainable resources and championing innovative educational programs that cultivate character, citizenship and scholarship.

One hundred percent of all “Paws for the Holidays” contributions will support the Classroom Grant Program. Donors can learn more and make secure online gifts at www.bearcats.swell.gives.
