CULLMAN, Ala. – The North Alabama Agriplex and Peinhardt Living History Farm will open the doors of the Red Hill School House to the community on Thursday, June 5, from 6-8 p.m. as part of the monthly Agriplex Heritage Skills Series.
Visitors of all ages are encouraged to visit the property to discover the history of both the Red Hill School House and education in Cullman County. There is no registration required – just stop in and say hello!
The open house is designed for everyone who wants to know more about:
- The history of the Red Hill School House
- The journey of the school house to its current home at Peinhardt Living History Farm
- A typical school day in the early 1900s
- The history of each school in Cullman County
During this time, volunteers will be dressed in old-fashioned clothing letting visitors experience firsthand a typical school day with period classrooms, desks and other educational tools that were used in the school back in the early 1900s.
Admission to this event is free and the event is open to all. The address is 1714 Tally Ho St., Cullman.
