CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman Senior Center will host a special event on Thursday, May 8, at 1 p.m. featuring Alabama historian, speaker, explorer, treasure hunter and collector Jim Phillips.
“Jim Phillips will be here to share many stories of his historian experiences,” Cullman Senior Center Manager Kristie Young said. “You can also bring your treasures for a free appraisal.”
Young said treasures could be any bottles, old American currency, Bibles or any items found or passed down for generations.
“There is no fee, but we do ask that you make a donation at the door or via the link (sic) to help cover the cost of hosting,” Young said. “For this event, pre-registering is not necessary. Personally, I can’t wait to see what folks may bring in for this event.”
