Eva, May 2.—Miss Ruby Hamilton and Miss Tula Murle Wigginson of Florette, spent Thursday night with Miss Lorene Puryear.

The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Williams was laid to rest in the Eva cemetery Thursday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Prince Ford of Decatur, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Halyard Hawkins.

Misses Irene Patterson and Thelma Lindler, Brooks Lindler and son, Paul, were business visitors in Falkville and Hartselle Saturday.

Miss Lucy Frost spent the week end with Mrs. Fisher in Cullman.

Mr. and Mrs. Garvis Ford of Decatur, spent Sunday with the latter’s sister, Mrs. Robert Williams and Mr. Williams.

Mr. and Mrs. Owen McCain are spending this week with their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. John H. Woodruff in Tennessee.

Miss Bernice Bryant spent Thursday night with Miss Fay Self.

Mrs. Gib Frost spent Monday night with Mrs. Lillian Patterson.

Miss Lillie Mae Livingston spent Monday night with Miss Thelma Lindler.

Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Puryear of Moulton Heights, spent Monday night with the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Puryear.

Mrs. Ed Puryear is seriously ill at this writing.

Vinemont R. 1, April 24.—The primary grades closed at this place last Friday. A large crowd attended the closing exercises.

Mr. and Mrs. Sid Yates and family attended preaching at New Hope Sunday.

The baby of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Johnson is very sick.

Ellis Tankersley, who has been very ill, is improving.

Mr. and Mrs. T. S. Morrow of Scottsboro, were the week end guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Morris.

We are glad to report L. T. Absher is improving after a recent illness.

Judge and John Morris, D. A., J. B. and Ardis Buckelew, Otto Morris and Sherman Talley motored to Cullman Monday.

Mildred Harden is ill with the roseola.

Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Buckelew were the Saturday night guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard King near Cross Roads.

The many friends of W. T. Newton were pleased to see him able to be out again, after a case of measles and relapse that developed into pneumonia.
