CULLMAN, Ala. – MacGyver is a name that since the mid-1980s has been synonymous with spontaneity, cleverness and skill, and it’s a perfect name for The Cullman Tribune’s Pet of the Week.

MacGyver is a 2-year-old mix of labrador and terrier with a warm tan coat and golden eyes that could melt the coldest of hearts, and the perfect medium energy mix for a fun-filled life of wagging tails, games of fetch and navigating trails and parks. He enjoys walking and running almost as much as he enjoys a treat from his companions, giving extra care and attention to learning commands and cues to earn the tasty snacks.

Although MacGyver may be competent, clever and cunning, a favorite pastime is resting and recharging in his quiet kennel. He is content as a clam to be in his space while happily awaiting his next big adventure – will it be with you?

MacGyver is currently searching for adventure at the Cullman County Animal Shelter, and his adoption fee of $130 includes his neuter, DHLPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, rabies vaccine, wormer, general exam at the vet and microchip.

Visit the shelter at 935 Convent Road NE, Monday-Friday, from 9 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. A meet and greet is encouraged by shelter staff to ensure a smooth transition and personality match.
