Good Hope City Council moving forward on new pavilion

GOOD HOPE, Ala. – The Good Hope City Council held its second and final April meeting at Good Hope City Hall Monday night and after approving the minutes and finances from their last meeting, the council approved a resolution to move forward on plans for a new pavilion in the city. Resolution No. 007-2023 authorized Mayor Jerry Bartlett to enter into an agreement with Leonard Design to provide drawings and specifications for a new pavilion to go in the city’s newest park across the street from Dollar General.

Resolution No. 007-2023: Leonard Design for Architectural Drawings of Pavilion

“Whereas, City of Good Hope has the authority to oversee and expend duties; and whereas, Good Hope does desire to keep citizens active in our community by adding entertainment for children; and wherefore, drawings are needed in order to bid the project. Leonard Design can provide drawings and specifications.

Now therefore be it resolved, that the Mayor of the City of Good Hope is hereby authorized to sign the proposal to move the project forward, to have Leonard Design for professional design services in the amount of $4,800.00.”

The Good Hope City Council will hold its next regularly scheduled meeting at Good Hope City Hall Monday, May 8 at 6:30 p.m.
