CLANTON, Ala. – A line of thunderstorms will enter northwest Alabama Friday evening, weaken after moving south of I-20 and exit the southern portions of the state late Saturday afternoon or evening.
There is the threat of damaging straight-line winds and a few tornadoes north of I-20 between 9 pm Friday and 7 am Saturday. Total rainfall will generally be an inch or less and not cause additional significant flooding concerns.
Yet another powerful storm system may produce severe storms in northern Alabama next Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday morning. A threat area has been introduced for areas north of I-20/59.
