CULLMAN, Ala. – Drug use, assaults, probation violations and grand jury indictments kept the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) busy the past several days.  

Thursday, July 21  

CCSO deputies conducted a traffic stop in the Crane Hill area.  

Gregory Thornton, 33, of Lacey’s Spring, was identified as the driver. Jerrica Adams, 32, of Eva, was a passenger in the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle allegedly yielded narcotics and paraphernalia.  

Both subjects were arrested and charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies arrested Tammy Jo Cummings, 56, of Baileyton, on outstanding warrants for distribution of methamphetamine.

Deputies arrested Pattie Lee Sterling, 63, of Cullman, on multiple grand jury indictments and a bond revocation warrant.   

Grand jury indictments included drug trafficking, unlawful possession of dangerous drugs and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. The bond revocation was for a charge of unlawful distribution of dangerous drugs.

Deputies responded to a residence in the Trimble area in reference to reported domestic violence.  

Casey Paul Henderson, 54, of Cullman, and Rachael Michelle Henderson, 41, of Cullman, were located at the residence.  

Deputies allegedly determined both parties had been using narcotics. A juvenile was also present in the residence. Because the juvenile had potentially been exposed to drug use, both subjects were charged.  

Casey Henderson was charged with chemical endangerment of a child and violation of a protection order.  

Rachael Henderson was charged with chemical endangerment of a child and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies arrested Heather Nicole Griffin, 31, of Athens, on multiple failure to appear warrants.  

Warrants included promoting prison contraband, unlawful possession of dangerous drugs, larceny/theft and trespassing.

Deputies responded to a report of domestic violence in the Fairview area.  

Barbara Jean Hann, 52, of Baileyton, was located at the residence.  

A physical altercation had occurred, and deputies were allegedly able to determine that Hann was the aggressor. She had also allegedly made verbal threats to the victim.  

She was arrested and charged with domestic violence- harassment and domestic violence- menacing, knife.  

Sunday, July 24  

Deputies attempted to serve felony warrants on an individual in the Vinemont area.  

Shaun David Anders, 31, of Falkville, was located at the residence.  

Deputies determined that Anders also had other active warrants. He was also allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine.  

Anders was charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine and multiple traffic violations.

Deputies arrested Tiffany Lynn Proffitt, 27, of Holly Pond, for probation violation.  

She was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, stemming from a 2021 case.
